Can you believe this past December marks three years since we moved to Fairfax? Way back when our main focus was just keeping the power on and passing fire marshal inspections. We've come such a long way since then, from clearing space and building walls, to developing some awesome programs and building strong relationships with the broader community. What I noticed in that annual report is how quickly hardware focused projects start depending on reliable sourcing once prototypes move into real deployment. Sensors, wireless modules, microcontrollers, power management ICs, and interface boards all become part of the bottleneck if the supply side slips. I’ve seen good technical ideas stall over something as small as one unavailable component. For projects built around electronics and embedded systems, I’d probably start looking here before scaling anything further.
