Nova Labs and Seed Technologies Launch Entrepreneur in Residence Program to Strengthen Northern Virginia's Innovation Ecosystem

New collaboration connects entrepreneurs, makers, and future technology talent through hands-on innovation and workforce development.
Fairfax, Virginia – Nova Labs, Northern Virginia's nonprofit makerspace dedicated to hands-on learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship, today announced a strategic collaboration with SEED Technologies LLC through the launch of its new Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) Program. The initiative is designed to strengthen the region's innovation ecosystem by creating meaningful connections between early-stage technology companies, experienced makers, students, and the next generation of technical talent.
The collaboration represents a new model for innovation in Northern Virginia—one where entrepreneurs gain access to advanced tools, industrial workspace, and a collaborative community of engineers and makers, while Nova Labs members gain unprecedented access to emerging technologies, industry expertise, and real-world product development.

"With the Entrepreneur in Residence Program, we're expanding that vision by creating a bridge between entrepreneurs developing tomorrow's technologies and the makers, students, and professionals eager to learn from them. The inaugural Entrepreneur in Residence is Seed Technologies LLC, a Northern Virginia startup developing MORPH-AI advanced robotic coating and precision spray technologies using Physical AI for aerospace and defense manufacturing and sustainment. Supported by funding from the Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation (VIPC), Seed is advancing robotics automation that improves industrial paint and steel casting processes in high-mix environments.
Founded by former Boeing engineers Camille Jones and Raymond Jones, Seed Technologies brings deep expertise in robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing. Through the residency, the company will leverage Nova Labs' fabrication equipment, industrial workspace, and technical community to accelerate prototyping while sharing its knowledge through office hours, workshops, demonstrations, and educational programming.
Members of Nova Labs will have opportunities to learn directly from Seed's founders, gain experience with industrial robotics, and, after completing appropriate training, use an industrial collaborative Fanuc CRX 10ia/L robot. "This partnership demonstrates what's possible when entrepreneurs and community organizations invest in one another," said Camille Jones, Co-Founder of Seed Technologies. "Nova Labs offers far more than workspace than I currently have and I’m excited to tap into the incredible community of talented makers whose curiosity, creativity, and technical knowledge make it the perfect environment for innovation."
The Entrepreneur in Residence Program reflects Nova Labs' long-term vision of becoming a regional hub where ideas move from concept to prototype, startups connect with technical expertise, and community members gain exposure to emerging technologies. As the program grows, Nova Labs plans to welcome additional resident companies whose work aligns with its mission of advancing innovation, entrepreneurship, workforce development, and lifelong learning. Nova Labs currently supports dozens of small businesses and maker-entrepreneurs with memberships, technical training and education, workspace and offices for rent.
