Over the course of our first year the Nova Labs logo was produced with an extraordinary variety of techniques, among them this laser etching on a beer bottle. Long live making!
Nova Labs has just celebrated its first anniversary with BIG news. Since opening a year ago there has been so much interest in our makerspace that we’ve just signed a lease to double our size! We’re happy for the role you’ve played and the support you’ve offered.
While 2012 was all about getting established; 2013 will be all about growth.
We’ll have more meeting space, we’ll have a larger wood shop, we’ll be adding a metal shop, we’ll have more project space but most importantly we’re not letting up on the super cool stuff. In 2013 we’re looking to expand our capacity with laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC mills and adding other computer controlled tools. Ours has been a space where making happens and we’ll be doing much more of it in 2013.
So thank you. Without you we would not have accomplished nearly as much. It’s not just Nova Labs members who make big contributions but also our corporate sponsors and affiliated partners: the 3D printer group, the robotics meetup, the drone-building group, the gang at FredHack and others. We all share a curiosity and an enthusiasm for making, tinkering, tweaking, hacking, and disassembly, and we share a physical place where we can do all this: Nova Labs.
Enjoy the holidays and we’ll to see you again next year.
