There are many wonderful things about makerspaces and one is the treasure trove of tools we have available to members. Individually we probably couldn’t have the variety of Nova Labs but together we can pool resources. Our 3D printer is an example of this.
Associate Member (and my daughter) Kelsey is fascinated with the newest of personal fabrication technology including 3D printing and vinyl cutting, which are available at Nova Labs. She’s been having a good time with the 3D printer; the video above was recorded last weekend. Kelsey is learning great new skills, making things she never thought she could and working with a wonderfully supportive community.
BTW, not only is there a MakerBot Thing-o-matic 3D printer to use at Nova Labs there’s a build group so you can make your own 3D printer! The Nova Rep Rap Group is currently meeting at Nova Labs and there are 14 people building Prusa 3D printers. If you want to know more then visit NovaRRG.org.
Note: Our Thing-o-matic was a gift from a generous corporate supporter: Palantir.
We are open! See our COVID-19 Phase III reopening guidelines.
